This is the standard booking for most outstation groups — one Force Urbania, one driver, held for the entire out-and-back journey rather than billed as separate legs. You get a single per-km rate covering the drive out, the time at the destination if the vehicle is on standby, and the return leg, with driver allowance and tolls added transparently rather than folded into a vague flat fee.

It works for anything from a one-night dash to Mysore to a five-day loop through Coorg and Chikmagalur — the structure doesn't change, only the number of days and the per-km total. Because the same vehicle and driver stay with you throughout, there's no re-briefing a new driver each morning on where the group is headed next.

When you request a quote, share your travel dates, pickup location, exact destination and passenger count — this lets us confirm the right seater (9, 10, 12 or 16) and quote a per-km rate with driver allowance, tolls and parking called out separately rather than bundled into a single opaque number.

For the six routes we run most often — Mysore (145 km), Coorg (250 km), Ooty (270 km), Chikmagalur (245 km), Tirupati (250 km) and Hampi (340 km) — we already know the drive time, the ghat sections that need a slower pace, and the stops worth building in, so quoting is faster than a fully custom route. Mysore's flat, well-paved roads suit a day trip or quick overnight, with Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hills and Brindavan Gardens anchoring most itineraries — groups often pair it with a Srirangapatna stopover on the way back. Coorg and Chikmagalur climb into the Western Ghats and are usually planned as 2-3 day trips around coffee estates and trekking terrain. Ooty adds another hour of winding hill roads through Bandipur and Mudumalai — worth noting the forest-zone night-travel restrictions on this stretch; Hampi, at 340 km, is normally a full weekend given the distance and the boulder-strewn ruins worth slowing down for.

If your destination isn't on this list, the same package structure still applies — we just don't have the route memorised to the same degree yet, so build in slightly more buffer time when planning.

Because these six routes are booked so often, we can usually confirm availability and a firm per-km rate within the same conversation, rather than needing a day to work out drive times and stop planning from scratch.

Rather than booking Bangalore-Mysore and Bangalore-Coorg as two separate trips, a circuit tour links them into one continuous loop — Bangalore-Mysore-Coorg-Bangalore, for example — so the vehicle never has to return to base between stops. This usually costs less than two round trips and suits groups who want to cover more ground in one leave block.

Planning a circuit means deciding the stop order up front — geography matters more than it looks on a map, since a route planned the wrong way round can add hours of backtracking on hill roads.

A typical circuit might run Bangalore-Mysore on day one, Mysore-Coorg on day two, then Coorg-Bangalore on the final day — each leg priced as part of one continuous itinerary rather than three separate bookings, which is usually where the cost saving actually comes from.

A one-way drop makes sense when part of the group is flying back from the destination city, continuing on to a different city by train, or simply doesn't need the return leg. Pricing works differently from a round trip since the vehicle has to be repositioned back to Bangalore afterward — flag this early so it's quoted correctly rather than assumed to be half a round-trip fare.

This is common after a flight-connected trip — a group drives out to Coorg together, then some members fly back from Mangalore while the rest return by road, or a destination wedding where the couple continues on their honeymoon from the venue city rather than coming back to Bangalore.

Because the vehicle and driver still have to make the return journey to Bangalore empty, share your one-way requirement clearly at the time of booking — it changes both the quote and how the driver's schedule for that day is planned.

For trips running three days or more, the vehicle and driver are typically kept on standby at the destination for local movement — resort-to-viewpoint runs, a day trip to a nearby town, that sort of thing — rather than sent back to Bangalore and re-booked. Driver accommodation for these nights is usually built into the outstation package.

This is also where seasonal timing matters most: September to March is peak season for hill destinations — cooler weather makes Coorg, Chikmagalur and Ooty especially popular, so book 1-2 weeks ahead during this window. Monsoon months (June-August) bring lush landscapes but also slower ghat travel, and summer (April-May) shifts demand toward hill stations like Ooty and Kodaikanal for the cooler climate.

Drivers also need rest between long driving days on a multi-day trip, so if your itinerary includes back-to-back long drives — say Bangalore to Hampi followed immediately by Hampi to Gokarna — flag it early so a realistic daily distance is planned rather than an exhausting one.

Trips crossing from Karnataka into Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh or Kerala need an interstate permit and, in some cases, additional tax — both handled ahead of departure rather than at a checkpoint. Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) and Ooty or Wayanad (Tamil Nadu/Kerala) are the most common interstate routes we run from Bangalore.

Confirm the exact state border being crossed at the time of booking — permit costs and turnaround time vary depending on which state you're entering.

Permit paperwork is usually handled within a day or two once your travel dates and exact route are confirmed, so it's worth finalizing your interstate itinerary a little earlier than a same-state trip to avoid a last-minute scramble.
